Perimenopause is the time leading up to menopause when symptoms begin for women. Although it generally begins in their 40s, perimenopause can also begin in their 30s.  It is very important to eat healthy, exercise, and find healthy ways to cope with stress at this time.

A woman technically begins menopause when she has gone without a period for twelve months and there are no other causes such as pregnancy or illness.  Sometimes called "the change of life," menopause may cause hormone related symptoms for women including digestive problems, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, or urinary dysfunction.  There are safe and effective treatment options available for the management of menopause including Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Most of today's women

will live 25 to 30 years -

one-third of their lives

- after menopause.

Patient Testimonial

I want to thank you so much for figuring this hormone problem out.  I am really beginning to feel like my old self.  I knew something was wrong and I'm so excitd to feel great again.

Bioidentical Hormone Therapy (BHT)

Our practice has experienced tremendous success in improving our patients' quality of life by converting over 90% of patients previously on conventional hormone replacement therapy to Bioidentical Hormones.

The goals of BHT are to:

    • Alleviate the symptoms caused by the natural decrease in production of hormones in the body.
    • Give the protective benefits which were originally provided by naturally occurring hormones.
    • Re-establish hormone balance.

In August of 2008, Health Day News reported, "Hormone replacement therapy, even when it's started many years after menopause, can reduce some of the quality-of-life problems caused by menopause, such as sleep problems and hot flashes."  Read the full article below.
